Cristina Cancho, tells us how they manage talent and soft skills to achieve success in the company.
1. What role do talent and soft skills play at Terrats Medical?
Like most companies, Terrats Medical aims to recruit the best talent to help us achieve the company’s objectives. For the success of Terrats Medical, it is not only about hiring the best talent, but that people have the soft skills aligned with the values of the company.
Talent provides the technical skills and knowledge to perform a job, and soft skills facilitate interaction at work and in the team. Both talent and soft skills are necessary for the success of our company.
For these reasons, we place great value on competencies, linked to our values and the competencies defined by Steelter, which help us to identify the best people to work in our team.
When did you start using the Steelter tool?
We started using Steelter in November 2022 for a specific selection process. We discovered that this tool would help us identify talent for our organization and that it allowed us to conduct 360 assessments with internal company personnel. In February 2023, Steelter becomes our talent tool.
3. How do you use Steelter?
Recruiting people with soft skills that match the company’s values can be a difficult task. For this reason, Steelter helps us to place the candidate in a hypothetical scenario and asks him what his actions would be like in that case. The result provided by the platform is very important to know the candidate’s soft skills and helps us to make decisions about talent with objective data.
4. There is increasing talk of the need to objectify talent-related decisions, what do you think about this?
We see Talent Analytics as a benefit of analyzing talent data and its applicability to decision making. It helps us to objectify the most important and fair decisions in the company.
